Ɔdɔ yɛ owu is a poetic Twi or Fante expression of affection. While it might literally mean
“love is death”, embedded in it is the desire for one’s affection to last forever or for as long as they live. Ɔdɔyɛwu is a sweet appellation for a loved one.
