I've been mostly quiet (online) today but #OHS2025 has been excellent with a workshop on ceramics with #3dprinting with Allie Katz, and now a session on Ribbit Networks and building a 🐸 sensor - also, some badge hacking with #micropython
Unevenly knolled objects from the badge kit: various needles, the microcontroller, the SAO with pronouns, some LEDs, a sewable coin cell battery holder, a roll of conductive thread, the badge itself, a SparkFun sticker, and some other bits & bobs.

Open Hardware Summit Day 2 is in full swing, and I've managed to break a needle on the e-textile #WearableTech conf badge (while sewing on the @seeedstudio.com Xiao #ESP32 C3 carrier board). Good thing there are spares 😸

Shannon giving a great talk at #ohs2025 about how open source, diy automated monitors gives amazing insights to watershed pollution.
For instance, human volunteers don't tend to go out during storms which is when huge surges of pollution can happen! So human samples can look relatively unpolluted.

Interesting (to me) that the Ender 3 is still the most commonly-quoted "default / standard / cheap / capable" FDM printer I've heard mentioned today (although I've seen more Prusa models in the presentation slideware). Just an observation. #OHS2025
