🌍 Northern bald ibis (Geronticus eremita) The northern bald ibis, hermit ibis, or Waldrapp is an endangered, migratory Old World ibis with only around 700 remaining in the wild, primarily in Morocco. It has glossy black plumage, a bald head and face, and a long, curved red bill. These social birds nest in colonies on cliffs and forage in flocks.
