NNOC appoints Parker as CEO Erasmus Shaliahxwe The Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC) and Commonwealth Games Association has appointed Anri Parker as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 September 2025. NNOC president Ndeulipula Hamutumwa announced the appointment on Wednesday. He said Parker has experience in sports administration and has worked on organising sporting events, athlete development, and international partnerships. “As a respected figure in Namibian sports, Parker has a proven track record of fostering athlete development and promoting the Olympic and Commonwealth Games values,” Hamutumwa said. He added that her background in organising high-profile sporting events has shown strong leadership in governance, community engagement, and international cooperation. “Her vision aligns seamlessly with the NNOC’s mission to develop and protect the Olympic Movement in Namibia, in accordance with the Olympic Charter and Commonwealth Games Association. As CEO, Parker will oversee the strategic planning and execution of NNOC initiatives, including the organisation of Namibian athletes’ participation in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, enhancing athlete support systems, and strengthening partnerships with national and international sports bodies.” Hamutumwa said Parker’s leadership will aim to create a sustainable environment that improves Namibians’ quality of life through sport while fostering unity and inspiring the next generation of athletes. He also thanked outgoing secretary general Joan Smit for her service, saying the board is grateful for her contribution. Parker said she was honoured to be appointed and committed to supporting athletes and building on the NNOC’s legacy. “I am deeply honoured to take on the role of CEO for the Namibia National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games. Sport has the power to transform lives and unite communities. I am committed to building on the NNOC’s legacy to empower our athletes, promote inclusivity, and elevate Namibia’s presence on the global stage. Together, we will strive for excellence and create opportunities for our athletes to shine.”

What does the IOC think about Trump?

Is the #OlympicMovement, whose core values are Excellence, Friendship and Respect, happy to stage the next Summer #Olympics in LA in 2028?

Strip Trump of the Games or, even better, ban the United States until such time they show these qualities again.
