Santana: Supernatural. A fabulously artistic cover as always. Roughly, a red mermaid with a blue tail sits between a guitar and two bongo drums. Some African ethnic art surrounds.

A cast iron pot with pale blue / grey enamel coating, a little chipped on the handles, with a stainless steel lid knob. About 4 litres I reckon.

Once upon a time when we rented DVDs from special shops, we rented The Men Who Stare At Goats. Very funny, some top actors. I picked up a DVD of it from an op shop last year, and we just watched it again last night.

Last night we watched the 2001 movie Amelie, a rewatch but it's been quite a few years since the last times. Still holds up, still at least a 9/10. A true masterpiece from Jean-Pierre Junet.

I started buying odd balls of yarn from the #opshop to supplement my own stash of leftovers, as there’s no local yarn store. I just burn tested some suspect balls, & sorted them by colour to make future work easier. My goal is a second scrapghan from what’s left as I reach the end of this one:

Two white ramekins sit on a white surface, on with a bottom edge propped up by the other. They have ridged sides, cherry bunches with blue leaves sparsely around the outside, and inside there's a blue circle with three cherry bunches.
Two metal food trays sit on an eye-bleedingly green bench. Each has a dosa, two avocado halves, a boiled egg in a metal egg cup, a teaspoon, and a ramekin with a small amount of brown saucy beans. On one tray, the dosa is folded in half and the beans have Tapatío hot sauce. On the other, the dosa is already torn into pieces, and doesn't yet have hot Indian pickle.

Latest op shop find on Tuesday was a set of four porcelain ramekins. We use ramekins at breakfast for dal / beans, and had chipped a couple so they needed replacement.
They are lovely and light, much lighter than the stoneware ones […]

Slim pickings on my #OpShop hunt today, but I’m chalking this one up to quality over quantity.
As-new copy of ‘Canal Dreams’ by the late, great Iain Banks - one of just three of his non-SF books I have yet to read.
Not bad for the princely sum of $2. 💙📚

The delicate teacup is off centre and at the back of the saucer, enough room for a (missing here) biscuit. Ornate majority navy patterned tablecloth on a circular table. Corner of an ornate book to the bottom left. Background contains an open book on a book holder (side angle so page contents can't be seen) on the left, and the corner of a black and white fruit bowl on the right.
New #opshop find. #Teacup! It feels so lovely and delicate to drink out of, and even has space for bikkies when I have a more appropriate #tea for that.
