The order of battle for the 40th Mobile Strike Force Command. The Mike Forces were founded to provide a reaction force to help CIDG camps under attack and to engage in small scale ops against the VC. The 40th was located in the 4 CTZ, it made use of air boats and navy MRF transports. #ORBATboys

The text: 'The Kouhu Calamity' - 29/10/2045 1316 Hours (Local Time) At 1316 hours 2 100-kiloton thermonuclear warheads, launched by PLARF IRBMs, detonate as ground-bursts among the 3 PLA Brigades Almost 2,000 PLA personnel are killed instantly by the blasts, and virtually everyone else left is seriously injured The entire force is rendered combat ineffective immediately 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines was conducting a probing attack against the PLA's defensive line when the nukes hit, and as such much of the unit was in the blast radius Casualties (from the nukes): PLA: ~10,296 (almost the entire remaining force) US/NATO: ~2,142 (including 80% of 3/7 Marines) Civilian: ~1,500 After the nukes landed, both forces were rendered combat ineffective, and a de facto ceasefire would occur until the remnants of the PLA garrison would formally surrender on the 31st of October, 2045 After the surrender of a small number of PLASOF holdouts elsewhere on the island, Taiwan will be declared formally liberated on the 3rd of November, 2045
