So, the Penguin has at least four main inspirations that went into making this design. First was the Matt Reeves version: Oswald Cobb, I liked that version the most out of any Penguin for a while and still think that one is my favorite version, but it bounces from that one, or the Danny Devito Penguin, which was the second inspiration. If you look closely, he has the penguin flipper hands, and that crooked nose, and admittedly a better hairstyle than Penguin did; imagine this version as a refined 'Batman Returns' Penguin! The third design was the pin stripped suit of Jack Skellington... And that's about it. The fourth and final design I inspired this look off of is the Telltale Penguin, where he's more lean and angular rather than short and pudgy; I love all forms of the Penguin but I always imagined my own Penguin to be that lean and brutal type that the Telltale version showcases in spades, so add the grimace and that scar on the side of his mouth and you have yourself Timeless Penguin!

BANE was one of the last characters I did for this villain series, and his design is straight up based on Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid. When I was thinking of concepts I literally just said to myself 'Buff Psycho Mantis...' and the rest was history. I did take the Venom route from The Batman [2004] where he has that dial on his right hand to pump the Venom through his body, I was not in the mood to draw big Venom tubes and a shitton of mini tubes going through his body; so, yeah I got lazy, but it still looks cool, right?

OKAY... Man-Bat was tricky. For the longest time, he was literally going to be a rehash of the 2004 Man-Bat, as that has always been my favorite Man-Bat design... But just as I was about to begin the drawing process, I remembered Dracula's demon form from the end of Castlevania games and I then decided to base it off of that, which is funny because Dracula exists in this universe. So, Man-Bat is significantly more big than his usual appearances, and I decided to go with the Arkham Knight route and make his fingers the mass of the wings, rather than having the wings be slapped just on the bottom of his arms, and as for the color, blue and punk just go really nicely together, it makes for a really cool, yet terrifying design.

Solomon Grundy... Is a zombie. With some Frankenstein influence. That's really about it. I took some design inspirations from Arkham City and the Injustice 1 versions of Solomon, and the colors were ripped off the classic Frankenstein Monster... Pretty self explanatory. The way I'm describing it makes it sound like I don't necessarily like Grundy, which isn't the case, I think he's awesome... It's just, yeah that's Solomon Grundy, not really much to say.
