-Soggy.
-The tracks are soft but holding.
-My local urban winter trail is still (barely in points) a connected network. By tomorrow? Probably a bunch of segments.
-If that was my last ski, it was a great season! Looks like I did 201km this season!!!

The kids' crosscountry ski lessons will apparently still happen Saturday (11 and rainy, but it's in a forested area), which means there's at least 3 days of urban skiing left. Hopefully the club's email wasn't hubris!

A selfie of a man with snow in his hair and beard. A snowy forest scene including mostly frozen creek is in the background.
Today's achievement: half ski-athalon!
Did Britannia Winter Trail out to Ottawa West Winter Trail, with the loop near the big Carling Campus, then back more or less the same way. I did most side loops either out or back.
A picture of a sweaty man in a t-shirt, shorts, and crosscountry skis against a snowy field.
I made good use of my last day off (and the kids being back at school) and did most of the Britannia Winter Trail, just over 13km! #OttSki
A selfie of a man with a frost covered beard and unzipped jacket holding two crosscountry ski polls. Behind him are snowcovered conifers and two apartment buildings.
Starting off the year with a sunny ski! Happy new year friends!

Great day to work from home. #OttWeather #OttSki
With snow (barely) in the forecast, my hope for the winter is we get a decent sized early fall that sticks around for the season, without any disappointing full melts in the middle. #OttSki
Best way to get to bunch today! πΏπ³

A man in a blue windbreaker is standing in ski tracks in front of a pine tree. There are a few cm of snow on the ground.
9 days ago I was cycling here on a snowless pathway along the Rideau River in #Ottawa, today we brought our skis out on the same trail. (Someone walked for about 1 km in the ski tracks, how does one not notice that?) #ottski #ottbike
