The post reads: “@everyone Us councillors representing the Northern Suburbs (myself, Cr Compton, Cr Randle & Cr Reweti) have just come off a Zoom call with NZTA ahead of the information sessions kicking off tomorrow. I can't share specifics but they now have maps with much greater detail of the route and can speak more directly to the expected impacts on properties along the route (e.g. whether properties may be acquired because of the cuts required to build the road or if it's vibration/construction disruption). I really just want to stress the importance of attending these sessions to all of those in this group. I certainly have ... feelings having seen the proposal but don't want to get into that now. WCC will be putting a submission forward, it won't have any legal standing to override the project but I will be pushing to make sure the views of those impacted are heavily represented.”
