Palilalia is a rare speech disorder that involves the involuntary repetition of words, phrases, or syllables. It's characterized by the following features: 

Repetition: The speaker repeats their own words, phrases, or syllables two or more times in a row. 

Decreased volume: The volume of the speaker's speech typically decreases with each repetition. 

Accelerating speed: The speaker's speech often accelerates in speed with each repetition. 

Contextually correct speech: Unlike other aphasias, palilalia is based on contextually correct speech.

Palilalia can occur in people with a variety of disorders, including:
