A crochet doily is pinned and blocking on a navy blue background. This doily is the ROYGBIV Gay Pride flag beginning with purple at the center and fading one strand of thread at a time thru blue, green, yellow, orange, and red at the edge. The red yarn I’ll use to sew it on to its frame is visible at the bottom left of the image.
The same finished ROYGBIV doily from the previous picture is now mounted on its parasol frame and open, facing the viewer. The bamboo center, central pole, and metal arms are sort of visible behind the doily.
Final blocking for this custom order. I’ve never made this pattern on a 10-armed parasol, but with a lot of math and brief in myself there it is, very little frogging required.
It’s already on its frame & on its way to its new home. Bye, sweet baby!

A crochet doily lies on my black desktop. This doily is nearly finished and sports a ROYGBIV colorway with purple at the doily center which is in the top left of the image. Toward the right side and bottom right corner the colors have faded slowly thru blue, green, yellow, orange, and red is just beginning at the edge.
So very nearly done

My work-in-progress doily lies on my black desktop. This doily is crocheted beginning with the color purple at the center, visible in the center-top-right and fading through blue to green at the edge visible at the left side and bottom. There are several flower petal shapes visible in the positive and negative spaces of the center which give way to one completed pineapple and one large fan pattern so far.
