Can't top that, so that's the end of my #pbhfreefringe 2025.
I think the total of different shows I saw is *217*.
There were also 3 repeats (2 of which were cabaret with different guest acts) & about 4 'I went but nothing happened' shows, but if you allow repeats it'd be easy to get to 300.

... even if someone hadn't blagged a free ticket to everything at the Pleasance (+ GB/JTT/UB) venues in 2014 & ended up seeing 304.
Without some trickery, you can't get close to that doing #pbhfreefringe shows only - the commercial Fringe runs longer, & greed packs shows in all venues every day.

About two thirds of the #pbhfreefringe shows don't pay for inclusion in their printed guide / their website.

Very much a 'work in progress' to help prepare a show for next year... but this year, it's on the #pbhfreefringe and might not be next year.
As usual, the best bits are the most personal ones and I will be giggling about one (big) bit for years.

It is amusing to see the posters for a magician who is back on the paid Fringe this year.
Last year, his posters described him as "the best magician on the Fringe!" and he wasn't even the third best magician at the #pbhfreefringe venue he was at in 2024.
Not sure about fourth best either, TBH...

This year, not having a paid job means I can be in Edinburgh for the whole of the Fringe.
Not having a paid job means that I will be trying see as many shows on the #pbhfreefringe as possible.
I'll post short reviews here, but this doesn't mean any compromise on quality - the PBH is great.
