Color illustrated cardboard counter display for PF Flyer sneakers. It reads “Watch Mickey Mouse Club” on TV featuring P-F Flyers,” with spaces to write in the local channel and time, and an image of Donald Duck. On the right is the product’s cartoon mascot, a chipmunk or squirrel wearing sneakers and a black sleeveless shirt with “PF” in white lettering. The illustration shows a box car race on a country road. Two boys are stalled in the grass. A child in a yellow shirt is half under his wood car, painted red with a yellow number 5 on the side, and some tools on the ground. The other boy, wearing a backwards blue baseball cap is shouting to his friend and pointing at the road, where a brunette girl with a ponytail is speeding past them in her own box car, with the number 77 painted on the side. She is wearing red sneakers, and has one leg out to push the car along. A cloud of dust is seen behind her.
Close up of the actual sneaker that rests on the base of the display. It is black with white shoelaces and rubber soles, with red striping around the edges. A large paper tag hangs from the laces near the toe. It has a diagram of the shoe and describes how it is constructed, with a large empty box at the bottom to fill in the price. It states that the shoes are made in America, and reads: “1. The important P.F RIGID WEDGE helps keep body weight on outside of normal foot - reducing foot and leg muscle strain, increasing comfort. 2. Sponge rubber cushion.” They are made by B.F. Goodrich, and the PF stands for Posture Foundation.
Photo of shoe from rear, showing the PF Flyers logo on the ankle and back of heel, with a red, white and blue stitched strip up the back.
Another image of the display without the shoe, showing the full illustration and the base the shoe sits on. The words “Look for the initials "P-F" on the insole” is seen at the bottom.
