Off to #PIELC (enviro law conference) in Eugene. Hope to see many of my forest buddies there! The sessions look fantastic, hard to choose. Camping in the area so wish me less atmospheric river conditions than having at home right now.

During my visit at @universityoforegon.bsky.social, I had the opportunity to discuss my work on the criminalization of climate migration. I’m grateful for the opportunity to do so both at the faculty colloquium & at PIELC on the panel “Will Climate Refugees be Well-Received?”. #PIELC

One fantastic thing I stumbled upon with the tabling at #PIELC was the @justseeds.bsky.social table!! I have been a huge fan of Justseeds since I was a kid and I appreciate all they do for #artivism #environmentaljustice #socialjustice

One alarming thing I learned at #PIELC is about deforestation caused by avocado farms in my motherland of Michoacán, Mexico, leading to monarch butterfly endangerment. In addition to pesticides. 3rd picture has an action one can take. #savethemonarchs #avocados #deforestation #michoacan #aguacates
Coming out of the #PIELC conference and I’m so sure that some of the key ways to save the environment is invest/build more transit oriented development, more public transit, more density in housing, and EV charging infrastructure. #greenenergy #tod #density #masstransportation
