Day 6 of no power. The steady hum of generators perfumes the air with exhaust and lulls me to shivering slumber. Today we bathed the family using a dish tub and a pan of water heated on the Coleman. I fear the dog hath become possessed with the spirits of her wolf ancestors. #pnwbombcyclone
We can finally drive out of our driveway and have water, though we must boil it to drink. No power yet, thankfully we have a generator. #PNWBombcyclone

Made it thru the #PNWBombCyclone last night. 8 trees fell, one hit our house but minimal roof damage thankfully. One took the power pole down so no lights or cable. We are blocked in as trees blocking both driveways and live power lines are down. But we are all safe & that’s all that matters!

pnw bomb cyclone tonight. Two neighbors had a tree bust through their house. I ended up directing traffic for an hour under a fallen tree bridging the only road in/out of our neighborhood. Made dinner on the camp stove and now we’ve got a roaring fire. Stay safe friends. #pnwbombcyclone
