Pompeii (2014)
A love story set in the days of the eruption of Vesuvius. For me and a love of ancient Rome, it was an enjoyable watch although not the greatest of films set during the Roman Empire. Kiefer Sutherland is delightfully dislikable.

19th c. sketch by Jean-Baptiste Ciceron Lesueur, pencil (?) on paper, which has yellowed over time. Here we see the Three Graces in the middle of an architectural fantasy, with perspective and hung with garlands. The zoccolo (lower register) has the usual plants, probably on a black background.
The fresco was cut from the south wall of the tablinum (study) of the House of Titus Dentatius Panthera in #Pompeii (IX.2.16), right where you see the red X in the first photo below. The 19th c. sketch by Jean-Baptiste Ciceron Lesueur shows it in context, the center of a composition. 🏺 2/
