Unifor National President Lana Payne addressed #PRC2025 delegates with an inspiring message of unity. She warned that Trump’s economic war poses an urgent threat to Canadian jobs & sovereignty and emphasized the need for bold industrial strategies & cross-sector solidarity to defend workers.
Alberta NDP leader @naheednenshi.bsky.social joined delegates at the #PRC2025 to talk about the fightback against separatism: "We're going to frame the agenda: Canada is not perfect but it is the greatest country in the world, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let Danielle Smith tear it down."
Premier Wab Kinew joined #PRC2025 with a strong message of solidarity. Through his leadership, his government passed anti-scab legislation, hired hundreds more health care workers, and introduced affordability measures—showing that when gov's & unions stand together, we can build a better future.
Unifor National Secretary-Treasurer Len Poirier delivered a powerful update to #PRC2025 delegates on our work to advance worker rights, health & safety, and global solidarity. From fighting to protect our jobs to expanding our programming, Len celebrated what we accomplish when we stand together.

On day 1 of Unifor's Prairie Regional Council, members got to work discussing resolutions and sharing inspiring stories about successes at the local level. I can't wait for day 2.
