Unveiled the first solar super-panel by Japan — More power than 20 nuclear reactors Japan's renewable energy will receive a seismic shift via perovskite solar cells. The development that would change the way solar energy is viewed.

Thanks to perovskite #solar cells (PSC) Japan uses #iodine as its main component (which has plenty of) instead of traditional silicon making them lightweight and flexible. The goal is to deploy #PSCs with a combined capacity of 20 gigawatts (equivalent to around 20 nuclear reactors) by 2040.
