Just published my look back on @PatchBirding at Druridge Bay North in 2017. It was a decent year...

#PWC2017
174sp, 254 points for #PWC2017 - couldn't keep up with the east coast patchers after a decent start, but still not bad for Lancs. A few of the many highlights: @PatchBirding
Finished #pwc2017 on 140sp (2nd best since 2013) and 166 points (3rd highest). Highlights were Cattle Egret, Spoonbill and getting in on the Hawfinch action. Lowlight was the loss of breeding Turtle Doves... Dips included Med Gull and Ruff. Roll on 2018!
Almost game over for a #pwc2017 Med Gull. The first time I've missed this species at Collingham since starting PWC in 2013...
Red-breasted Goose still near Hemscott Hill this afternoon. Not sure whether to be excited as it definitely looks different to the photos of the Big Waters bird. Also 1 DB Brent and 1 Barnacle. #PWC2017
0930-1130 at Hadston Carrs: 2 Little Auk, 10 Goldeneye, 1 LT Duck, 1 Little Egret, 1 Snow Bunting, 1 GN Diver, 3 RT Diver, 2 GC Grebe. #PWC2017
A good weekend for #PWC2017, with first ever Hawfinch and first Brambling of the year, plus second Cattle Egret of 2017. Still need GWE...
A nice combination at Chevington burn mouth this morning... #PWC2017
Unusual but awesome selection at Chev this am: 2 M Harriers, Bittern, Cetti’s, Grey Plover, 4 Whoopers, Black Tern & 2 Bee-eaters!! #PWC2017
2 Bee-eaters just gone north calling over the N pool at Chev. That wasn’t the county tick I was expecting! Handy bonus points too! #PWC2017
Cetti’s Warbler still singing at Chevington. Also Bittern and Marsh Harrier. #PWC2017
HD videos of the Red-necked Phalarope and Great White Egret on the patch recently on my blog...

Incredible arrival of Barnacle Geese at Chevington this morning. Minimum of 1300 in 35 minutes. #PWC2017
Barred Warbler showing like a Barred Warbler at Druridge Pools earlier today... #PWC2017
Very elusive Barred Warblers in elder at the entrance to Druridge Pools. #PWC2017 @ElliottatChev
2 Whinchats at Druridge Pools were the best we could find on the patch this evening. #PWC2017
Black-necked Grebe finally added to my #PWC2017 list at Chevington. Also 8 Pintail & 2 Ruff.
Flushed a Quail twice in the dunes at Hadston. Lifer for me after lots of failed attempts at seeing them in the summer!! #patchgold #PWC2017
Had an inkling there'd be a Little Stint on the patch tonight. There wasn't. Grey Wag new for #pwc2017 though, better than nowt.
25 minute seawatch at Hadston produced: 2 Sooties, 2 Bonxies, 30 PFG, 39 Wigeon, 7 Teal, 3 Pintail & 7 Brent Geese. #PWC2017
The second #pwc2017 tick of the day, was beginning to worry about this one!
2 Ravens circling south over Collingham are new for #pwc2017. No luck still with Ruff or Grey Wag...
After a good couple of months of #PWC2017 I'm already 8 points ahead of what I finished on last year. Really hoping it stays like this!
Ah, been looking for one of these on the patch, new for #PWC2017
Smart immature Red-necked Grebe showing nicely with the scoters off Druridge Links this afternoon. #PWC2017 @ElliottatChev
Just found 2 Juv Pectoral Sandpipers together from the Budge Screen!! #PWC2017 @ElliottatChev @Ipin_by_the_sea
