Un incendie d’ampleur est en cours dans la forêt de Brocéliande Un feu s’est déclaré dans la forêt de Brocéliande, à Paimpont (Ille-et-Vilaine) avant 16 h, ce jeudi 17 juillet 2025. Un gros dispositif de pompiers est présent sur place.

Terrible incendie en cours à #Paimpont, au cœur de la forêt de Brocéliande. Vigilance sur le secteur Val sans Retour, place légendaire du cycle arthurien. Soutien aux pompiers, gendarmes et agriculteurs mobilisés pour protéger ce site naturel exceptionnel.

A tree leaning from the ground toward the lake. Leaning a lot even, a couple of branches were pretty much horizontal.

For muddy places or places were water gathered often, draining toward the lake, they made wooden platforms to cross. Not very disabled-person friendly, but pretty. Didn't feel too secure while crossing over either, as it was raining intermitently and the wood was wet and somewhat slippery. Especially since there were both the usual styles of wooden paths, but also what they called japanese paths, with tree trunks cut and set up so you had to walk one foot per trunk-part. There were metal bits stuck in the trunks to give your feet some grip. Pretty, but not very secure when wet. I went slowly over them 😄

Nice little walk. The circuit around the lake is about 4km long so an hour-ish in theory. I took a good hour and a half for my part. I was going pretty slow, enjoying myself, and being careful as it was raining now and then and I didn't want to slip.
