World's Oldest Figurative Art is Now an Official World Treasure The new Unesco world heritage site spans six caves located in the Swabian Alps in Germany

The Venus of Hohle Fels is an Upper Paleolithic figurine made of mammoth ivory that was unearthed in 2008 in Hohle Fels, part of the Caves & Ice Age Art in the Swabian Jura UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is dated to between 42,000 and 40,000 years ago.
