Comic in simple black and white. First frame has Dottore standing in the Krumkake Craftshop scrapyard, deeply engrossed in screwing apart a mechanism he's holding with wires attached to make it look a bit like a heart. His head snap up when a voice from behind him says "Look at you, hard at work as always. Though I must admit, this is the last kind of place I would have expected to find you settled down in." Second panel is Dottore turning with a delighted smile, exclaiming "Pantalone!" Pantalone is standing behind him smiling a small enigmatic smile, the fingers of his hands interlaced. He responds "Hello, Zandik." Dottore, holding the heart-like device in one hand, asks "What in Teyvat brings you to a Nod-Krai scrapyard?" Pantalone replies "I'm here to see an old friend, of course! The reports out of Nod-Krai were overwhelming and confusing, it took a while to sort out what really happened here. But when I heard this is where you ended up, of course I had to come see for myself."
First panel shows Dottore with a grin peeking out from under his mask asking "So what news from.Snezhnograd? Has Her Majesty finally decided to intervene on my behalf? Have you come to bring me home?" Pantalone looks dejected and says "Ah. I hate to be the bearer of bad news..." Dottore's smile vanishes and he says "I take it that's a no." Pantalone makes a small apologetic gesture and says "You really crossed a line this time. Your accomplishments here in Nod-Krai were extraordinary... But the excess of casualties. The nation-wide evacuation, the bulletin sent out to all the other nations - from within our own organization! - warning them of the threat you posed to the whole world... It's all just very bad optics." Dottore asks "So I'm being replaced?" Pantalone spreads his arm in another apologetic gesture and says "It's already happened, I'm afraid. I wanted to at least let you know in person. He's very capable of course, you all are. Though I've always felt none of the others quite share your... raw ambition." making it clear they're talking about the replacement being another segment. "Selfishness, you mean," Dottore snaps. Pantalone says "Well. I'm not at all surprised to learn you were the one to finally achieve your life's goal. Conquering divinity, tearing apart the very firmament of heaven... it must have been a glorious sight to behold!" After a brief pause, Dottore says "It was."
Looking saddened, Pantalone says "For now, just keep your head down. Let this whole sorry business blow over. We'll meet in Snezhnograd again some day soon, I'm certain of it. You can tell me all about it then." The next panel has Pantalone reaching out and touching Dottore's face in a gesture of both affection, pity and dismissal as he says "Take care of yourself, Zandik." Dottore's head is slightly bowed, whatever can be seen of his expression under the mask looking a little stunned. The final frame shows Pantalone walking away from the Krumkake Craftshop scrapyard. Dottore can be seen from behind looking after him, his posture still a little stunned and, might I say, dejected. The words "That... sounded a lot like goodbye." are written as a thought above his head.

A visitor from far away brings bad news. Fortunately, offering awkward comfort is what family's for.
