Today is #pantoday 👏 👏 👏 Music Hall has a long association with this genre and we have a number of interesting pantomime collections in our #archive including a significant recent donation connected to Dorothy Ward who played in over 40 pantomimes from 1905-1957 including costumes, merch and photos.
Happy #PantoDay everyone.
What better day than #PantoDay to start my annual panto countdown to Christmas with a memory from my Sleeping Beauty at the Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh, 2008.
Picture shows Lori Mclean as Grizzlebone the Witch racing Concorde on her broomstick, at National Museums Scotland’s Museum of Flight.
It's, #PantoDay, book in comfort, by post!
It's #PantoDay, so what better time to share a first look at our fun-filled adventure in Oz! 🌈✨❤

Happy #PantoDay from Theatres Trust 🎭
Pantos are so important to UK theatres
The panto is where most of us get our first introduction to the wonders of theatre
And the income from pantos support theatres' work through the rest of the year
Happy #PantoDay! Am having a hoot in the #RVTPanto this year - lovely cast, fab crew, wonderful audiences, and great reviews too 😃 If you’re looking for a fun and funny adult panto in a historic LGBTQ+ London cabaret venue, then you know where to come!

Our new volunteer Maya has been listing our Kenneth More Theatre programmes and has found one for a production of The Wizard of Oz from Spring 1986.

Happy #PantoDay! This year's theme is transformation; word must've reached Mother Goose, as she's about to make three wishes that will transform her life forever. Come and find out what they are this weekend (13-14 Dec) at Queens Park Arts Centre.
Tickets: tickets.queensparkarts.com/event/763:342/
What better way to celebrate #PantoDay than seeing Mother Goose again at Theatr Clwyd? The cast & the audience were having a great time, & the BSL interpreter got to fire a water pistol! 😅😆❤️👏👏👏 A standing ovation & everyone on their feet for the last song. Catch it in #Mold until January 19th.

I'm late for #pantoday but must share these fab pictures of my Mum, then Margaret Ferguson when with #Perth Rep. She was possibly performing as Robin Hood. The Stage of 26 Nov 1959: "Margaret Ferguson who was principal girl last year, will this year make the transition to principal boy, Robin Hood."
#PantoDay No. 2: Maude Nelson played Sinbad and Lottie Hallett played Zoradee in ‘Sinbad’ at The Surrey Theatre, 1896
Bit late for #PantoDay but in 1894 Sophie Harriss played Selim and Alice Brookes played Fatima in ‘Blue Beard’ at The Crystal Palace
Happy #Pantoday ❤️ ✨🪄
Happy #PantoDay from the cast of Wolfed at the RVT! We are having a blast this year 🐺💚🥳
Happy #PantoDay! What a brilliant & important tradition. I’m v proud to have been involved in Panto for over 40 years. Both as an actor & director. I don’t have any photos of me in panto as a kid (Sleepy to Anita Watts’ Snow White) or schools tours I’ve directed. But I do have ⬇️
Just before the end of #pantoday here’s Nelly Power as principal boy.
Clipping from The Era, 2 January 1870, reviewing the pantomine at the Britannia Theatre, Hoxton.
Just twigged that it's #PantoDay so it seems as good a time as any to mention that characters in the 1870 panto at the Britannia, Hoxton, included the Giant Manaswallowseminisman and the Royal Hiccorypiccorywankychum.
On #pantoday here’s a blast from the past.
