Episode 41 of Kīlauea Volcano began today and has presented some challenges. Due to low winds, huge amounts of tephra deposits have been falling within Hawaiʻi Volcanoes NP and neighboring areas.
For the safety of all staff, the #HVNP Welcome Center and national park have closed.
