Volunteers Needed: Emotional Experiences of Wildland Firefighters in British Columbia.
This research invites BC wildland firefighters to share how they experience and navigate emotions in a position affected by climate change and a unique occupational culture.
Eligibility: 
•Current or recently retired BCWS Initial Attack firefighter (must have worked during the 2024 or 2025 wildfire season)
•18 years of age or older
Study requirements: 1:1 virtual or telephone interview (45–90 minutes) about work experience and well-being.
This study intentionally welcomes participation from equity-deserving groups to better reflect the diversity of experiences within wildland firefighting and to ensure that findings are inclusive and responsive to systemic inequities.
Why participate? 
•Share your experiences in your own words
•Help ensure firefighter voices are represented in climate and labour research
Confidentiality: Participation is voluntary and confidential. Interviews will be anonymized and identifying information will be removed from the data. Participants may withdraw without penalty at any time.
