A few zooms into my painting of Haootia, commissioned by McIlroy et al (2022). #Haootia fossils from Newfoundland (Late #Ediacara, 550Ma) have the oldest evidence for animal muscles. Also pictured are #Charnia and some #Parviscopa.

In 2022 I worked with McIlroy et al on a new description of Haootia, from the Late Ediacaran. #Haootia fossils from Newfoundland have the oldest evidence for animal muscle. Also pictured are a reclining #Charnia & #Parviscopa.
