An abstract composition resulting from smears of Payne's Grey overlain with copious amounts of acrylic gloss medium and transparent raw umber acrylic ink, resulting in some opulent gold, silver/platinum and bronze hues. A multitude of surface textures -- swirls, wisps, streaks, scrapes and stripes -- emerge after applying this mix of media with various tools.
I've always loved the raw materiality of paint surfaces when viewed up close. For the #texture theme of day 9 #JanuArty here's an abstract inspired by minerals in rocks
