One of my dolls lives in a museum. It's Frau Perchta - mythical witch with Germanic roots. You can meet her in person in the Museum of Magic, Fortunetelling and Witchcraft in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Half my ancestry is #German & I grew up with stories of #Krampus, #FrauHolle, #Perchta, #Schneewittchen, #Ullr, & others. Krampus was stern, harsh, & scary, but not sadistic, cannibalistic, or murderous. In modern tellings, all his good qualities are replaced with monstrous ones.
