Thank you to everyone who made our inaugural #PeriodActionDay webinar a success! We posted the recording on the event page for anyone who couldn’t make it. #periodequity #prison #periodpoverty #criminology #womensrights #genderequity
Nearly 1 in 4 students in the US have struggled to afford menstrual products. Just as soap & toilet paper are basic necessities in our school restrooms, so are menstrual products. On today’s #PeriodActionDay, my office is proud to host a collection drive to help meet the needs of the students.
The background is a warm tan decorated with a green jack-o-lantern with x's for eyes. At the top reads "Not having answers is scary" in smooth, curvy black font. At the bottom reads "sex ed isn't."
Abstinence-only is leaving young people in the dark about their bodies. Menstrual health is one of the largest gaps in sex ed with only 4 states requiring instruction on it beyond puberty lessons 🩸
