My Mother-in-Law passed away a few weeks ago, I found this picture of her from a 2021 parade honoring the 150th anniversary of the #Peshtigo fire. She had been a curator at the Peshtigo Fire Museum for many years so she and a couple other members of the Historical Society were honored.

Last night sucked thanks to the sorry state of #PublicTransport in Marinette County. I needed a ride home from work, 1.4 miles, snow. No #Lyft drivers, no #Uber drivers, the only #Taxi company that even comes to #Peshtigo won't take me to another place in town - only Peshtigo-to-Marinette and back.
Today marks 150 years since the #Peshtigo Fire - 2500+ died. It was the same night as the famous Chicago Fire.
My ancestors settled around Peshtigo. Family lore tells of at least one relative who survived by jumping into a well.
