Octoillo branches are spindly and spiny, making a good perch for birds. On the left a phainopepla perches, while top right, a little hummingbird hangs out. They stayed that way a good amount of time.

Discovered a new bird that I have never seen on our property before - the #phainopepla . I learned that these birds eat mistletoe which explains why it is hanging out in this particular black walnut tree which hosts a lot of mistletoe. #birds #birdsofbluesky #coolbirds
