The brown waters of the Colorado River (due to a sediment release from the dam upstream at Page) are in the foreground curving around a bend. On the left bank (north) are outbuildings of the ranger station. On the right bank, the cliffs of the Inner gorge rise up near vertically. In the distance, the Black Suspension Bridge can be seen crossing the river. Beyond it, the walls of the canyon rise up. And beyond it, the walls of temple formations.
