Empty Shell (Final State) The horror is not emptiness. The horror is occupancy without presence. I will be there eyes open, body warm, socially alive. Inside, nothing negotiates, nothing imagines, nothing remembers having loved thought. Not dead. Not gone. Just no longer me.
