Grape-fruit sized pouring vessel, with textured surface cause by hand-pinching the speckled stoneware clay. Toasty brown near the base with yellows and grey near the shoulder, yellow ash droplets on grey, and a pale robin's egg blue glaze inside.

Customer photo of one of my mortar and pestles made out of a rich red clay. The bowl is viewed from overhead (missing the carving on the outside) and is completely unglazed. There are spices in the bowl and the pestle is resting against the rim. The pestle is glazed with a whitish glaze down to about 1.5” above the bottom to allow for better grinding contact.

The rutile brown tones from #Maycoglazes Stoned Denim dropped out mostly when applied over Green Opal as a base (all on #plainsmanclay m340). I quite like this - brightens things up and calls out for spring.
