Kiss Me is the Thai version and I have to recommend it! It’s my favorite version and it treats the FL the nicest 🤗
Day 10 #EYDC2025: I don’t have time for rewatch but I have been watching #Goong and #PlayfulKiss clips on YouTube a lot during my spare time hehe
The ML in #PlayfulKiss was the 2ML in #BoysOverFlowers -and yes Jung So Min was great, but for me, a weak (and regressive) plot like that one needs stellar chemistry, and the TW pair had it in spades, in both seasons.
Re: #PlayfulKiss, I don’t remember the ML from this drama - he could have been played by anyone so far as I was concerned - I watched it for Jung So-min! 😊 - it was my first drama with her, & her facial expressions were just so characterful & funny/cute. Her character made me laugh & cry for her ☺️
The Itazura Na Kiss clones #kDrama #PlayfulKiss , #twDrama #ItStartedWithAkiss had a much less objectionable setup for the forced cohabitation. I wouldn't have felt so strongly if the thieves had suffered ANY consequences at all, but there were literally none. Absence of karma is a red flag for me
#FullHouse is rage bait for me to this day, 12 years after watching it: "Friends" literally STEAL HER HOUSE AND COMPLETELY GET AWAY WITH IT?
That is to romcoms what day old dog turd is to bouillabaisse
#PlayfulKiss is not a patch on the #twDrama - whose ML was never charged with partner abuse
I haven’t seen all of these, but I must come to the defence of a few here - apart from 30 but 17 - eg, #FullHouse, #CinderellaAndtheFourKnights & #PlayfulKiss
They are dated, but are such classic tropey kdramas! - they hurt to watch as much as they are pleasurable, but that’s the fun of them 😊

The good: Jung So Min and the OST. The bad: the ML can’t act though he’s better here than in BOF & he’s much sweeter in the Youtube Specials. This version also feels more rushed compared to the others I’ve watched. Lighthearted watch but also frustrating. 6.5/10 #Kdrama
