#pleinairpril day 4! had to redo the whole painting because the absorbent ground I'd used was definitely not meant for gouache, and I had to wipe it off and re-prime the panel. lesson learned.

I spent all day doing yard work and working out and then sort of collapsed onto the couch, so now I am sketching this tree at sunset for today’s #pleinairpril before I go see Project Hail Mary! I promise it won’t be all trees all month.

Today for day 4 of @pleinairpril I painted for the first time with flashe, a lesser-known type of paint that is based on vinyl. I used just red, blue, yellow and white and painted on paper.
