Chief Si'ahl is the first signature on the Point Elliott Treaty, signed Chief of the Duwamish and Suquamish tribes

Today marks the 170th anniversary of the signing of the #TreatyofPointElliott in 1855, and still the United States government has yet to honor their promises by federally recognizing the #Duwamish Tribe. Chief Si'ahl (Seattle) is the first signature on the #PointElliottTreaty.
