I spoke to my father today, and he said that yesterday, while ‘reading the internet’ (he mainly uses Onet/Interia/RP.pl), he saw a discussion/debate on the legalization of migrants' stay in Spain and was going to call me to find out what and how, because allegedly it was said that ‘Sanchez is stupid, he'll give them citizenship, they'll be able to vote and travel around the EU, and migrants will flood us (Poland)’ (actually, it's a plus that he stopped parroting this nonsense and just wanted to find out). It's fascinating how ‘Chinese whispers’ can distort reality so much... it's only supposed to be legalization, i.e. residency (you can still get citizenship through the normal route); you can't vote except in local/municipal elections; there's no EU FreedomOfMovement... not to mention that even if they were in Spain illegally, they could still come to Poland because of Schengen ;) ) #Spain #Espana #Poland #PolPol #news
