Blue-gray gnatcatcher on a small twig. The twig cuts diagonally across the photo from the bottom center to the upper left and the bird is perched about in the middle of it facing right. Its head and body are mostly a blue-gray color like its name. it has a black eye with a small white eye ring and small black beak. Its underside is mostly hidden in this photo due to the way it is perched. At its rear end are some white feathers and a long fanned black tail, with white at the outer edge. Its dark legs are very thin. The background is mostly a light blue sky with several other twigs and branches at the outer edges.
