Texas to build 80-acre border base for National Guard troops Gov. Greg Abbott announced Friday that the base in Eagle Pass will hold up to 2,300 soldiers who have been deployed to the border by the governor.

This is purely for political gain and not for the true intention of what the National Guard should be doing. This is wasting tax-payer money, and yet, he still keeps getting voted back in office.
