A Bee Hotel shows different nesting types for native bees. The structure is rectangular, with a slanted roof to allow water to run off. The front is screened to keep birds and other predators out. There are five compartments of different sizes, each filled with a mosaic of cut branches in different shapes and from different trees. There is a sign saying: WELCOME NATIVE BEES! THE BEECHICAS, THE BOULDER PUBLIC LIBRARY, AND THE UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY HAVE PARTNERED TO BUILD THIS HABITAT TO SUPPORT AND OBSERVE OUR NATIVE SOLITARY WOOD-NESTING BEES.
