Didn't know that the perks of giving a talk at #PGG58 / #PopGroup58 would mean doing a podcast with @heredityjournal.bsky.social, being interviewed by Mike Pointer. A great experience talking about the meeting and the science we do!
It's been a busy start to the new year - presenting at #PopGroup58 at the University of Sheffield (and having a great time as always) and then again the #BrookesPGSymposium - the latter of which I won first prize! 🧬🐸
Glad to present my work on the implications of different mutation models in #popgen and #phylo inference at #PopGroup58 in Sheffield (even tried my hand at cèilidh dancing). Kudos to the organizers for this excellent meeting! #statsstandrews
Happy to have shared my research at #popgroup58
In my presentation I showed how haplotype structure and population structure can shape selection response later on
Currently two hashtags: #PGG58 and #PopGroup58 for Popgroup. Best use both?
Talk by this year's @heredityjournal.bsky.social student prize winner - tomorrow 10 am at the #Popgroup meeting in Sheffield. #popgroup58

Want to hear about wolf skulls? Come find my poster (hidden in the corner) at #PGG58 #PopGroup58
I can’t promise results (yet) but I do have a 3D printed skull and some cool visuals!
Excited to speak at #PGG58 / #PopGroup58 about mutation rates, mutation spectra, antibiotic resistance and (if I talk fast enough) how the environment affects these.
Tuesday in LT3 right after lunch. 🦠🧬
Come for the mutations, stay for the Bluey colour schemed ggplots. 📊🟦🟧
