#PracticeTuesday is back!! (But today is Monday, right? Right??)
#PracticeTuesday
#PracticeTuesday: Most popular post-partner elevation question has been, "What has changed?" The TL;DR is not a lot but also a lot (another side of the "it depends" coin!). Here are a few things of note (not exhaustive) that I wish I had known before making partner. 🧵
Aw, #PracticeTuesday. So much fun back in the day!
One of my favorite things about the golden days of the old place was #PracticeTuesday. I learned so many helpful tips and tricks as an associate! I am working to move over some of these and hope this new little corner of #lawsky will find it helpful.
I've run out of office snacks. Anyone have recommendations?
#PracticeTuesday crew?
Find a third moment.
The first moment is when you read and prepare for a class. The second moment is when you go to class, and when you learn your professor's perspective. The third moment is something else after each class when you debrief.

A very happy birthday to our #LadyLawyerDiaries hashtag-coiner and handle-cofounder Professor @RachelGurvich!Cooriginator and emcee of #PracticeTuesday, teacher of language of law, beloved by her students, peers, and all of us!! Happy birthday friend!
Today's #PracticeTuesday advice on a Friday: Keep your research notes saved in a folder for each project. You never know when you'll have to re-trace your steps two years later and justify a particular proposal or conclusion. Keeping notes means less re-inventing the wheel.
Attn: #LadyLawyerDiaries & others in the legal community: we have an anon rising 2L seeking guidance on navigating OCI/interview season when grades are less stellar than she hoped for. There have been #PracticeTuesday and the like advice on similar subjects. What should she do?
Not many things can make you feel dumb as easily as forgetting to sign your notice of appearance before trying to file it with the court.

Today's appellate argument lesson: No matter how good you think your cold open is, if you have two arguments back-to-back to the same panel, don't repeat your same opening in the second case. #practicetuesday

And, another #PracticeTuesday Q from the audience: What if OCI doesn't work out for you?
(If this a better Q for a different #PracticeTuesday topic, I'll defer to our administrators to punt it to a later week.)
Here's a #PracticeTuesday Q from the audience: What abt call-backs? How do they differ from OCI? What shd you do to prepare?

#PracticeTuesday I must be in the #appellatetwitter minority that can't listen to music while I'm writing.
#PracticeTuesday I read a GREAT article just last week on procrastination in the legal profession. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm /1
