There was a point when Soul started to snoop around Ranni's area. Part due to keep the mind busy to avoid fully succuming to grief over Rogier, but also part out of anger at lady Ranni? Robin at some point became so preoocupied with helping Ranni they grew a resentment towards her. She was the one to slay Godwyn, and it was Godwyns body that spewed Deathroots. Anyway- little did Soul know, part of Robin's visits was to help bring Rogier back. And during Soul's little investigation they stumbled an abandoned ruin, that was very much being used..
I meantioned in another post that Soul started to hang out with Varre and Seluvis more due to grief and people got very concerned.
And boy oh boy are those fears warranted..
