I try to sprinkle humor into my work, but for the most part it stays in the worldbuilding/side story realm. I’ve got a lot of short story ideas to go alongside The Night of Fallen Gods I’ll probably put in a collection at some point.

Sometimes my characters are inspired by others or they were built off of each other
Alyce was inspired by Katniss from Hunger Games. To have a strong anti-heroine.Then I wanted her to have a twin brother,Mr. Rules. So Cyle was born.Milo&Quinn were made to follow romance tropes I wanted

I read many genres but try to read a lot in what I write in so I get a better sense of how to write said genre.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I suck at poetry,
I like chicken tacos.

If the author writes with purpose like dystopian, satire, or has a habit of mocking/fixating on a group of people throughout their oeuvre, then we shouldn't disregard their intentions. However, a readers interpretation is also extremely valid. They bring nuance to the conversation.

Any major changes deviating from the original story line. That shit didn't work out will for the Tokyo Ghoul anime. #PrentendPanel
Good morning #prentendpanel !
There are solid plans for a sequel to Uncanny Arcana w/ Beau&Co plus an outline for a spinoff set in the 1800s/1900s that'll need some research 👍
I have a short story from years ago that will be good for Oct I'm considering reahuling too 🤔
As far as I know, I'm using my days off to write my W.I.P. On my other days, I'm working on my other stories. I do know one day I'll have to stop working on my stories to solely focus on my W.I.Ps. But that's still far away for now. #PrentendPanel

Day 13: Hardest aspect of writing
The inconsistencies of progress. Not every day is a “I just wrote 3k words” type of day
Some days it’s a “I just wrote half of my book in 6 hours” and sometimes I go 2 straight weeks of bashing my head into a brick wall wondering why my brain is off
I love queer stories and I want to make more of them. That's really it, just being able to centre queer folks as the main character and just have queerness be completely the norm in my world.

Day 10: How to Handle Writer’s Block
Walk away and come back later. Go do something else for ten or twenty minutes.
Brute force occasionally works, but when it doesn’t, take a break. You’ll feel less drained and have more motivation.
Plus, you may find a new inspiration while away

Day 8: Tips for new writers
Don’t worry about perfection, just get it written
Fantasy is all about creativity, so let that childhood mind resurface and let it run wild
Write what you enjoy, not what meets trends & patterns
Utilize online platforms to grow like Inkitt & RoyalRoad
On my days off, I focus on my actual writing. In general, music really helps visualize the fight scenes I have in mind. Also, I play YouTube as noise but that sometimes becomes a distraction.

So, a question I'll ask for this #PrentendPanel is who is/are your main character(s) inspired by?
