Big cloud little rainbow with turbines on the ridge as the sun sets behind us.

A cyclist and myself pulled up at the same spot at the same time. He was chuckling, happy to be here and not over there. Looking over Bantry, Whiddy Island towards Glengariff and Beara Peninsula as squalls passed by.

I hung around a little longer after the cyclist left. Another, zoomed in view looking over Bantry, Whiddy Island towards Glengariff and Beara Peninsula as squalls passed by.

Adding this one in from the morning before, because the silhouetted ridge to blue to magenta sky with a cloud hovering at the transition adds to the language of skies pre-storm.

It’s grim outside but that was an unexpected flash of lightning almost instantly accompanied by thunder.

Friend just messaged to say we (Storm Éowyn + Ireland) have been mentioned on german radio.
