The first order of defense is making sure that your town, county, and state institutions are led and staffed by people who are #ProDemocracy, #ProPluralism, #ProSecular, and #ProLiteracy. Then you keep them in power.
This must be where you stop erosion and create civic bulwarks against fascism.
