I’m proud to stand with 19 Colorado State House Representatives, 8 State Senators, and 17 statewide organizations, I am proud to have endorsed Initiative #195, the Colorado Graduate Income Tax (GIT) Ballot Initiative! Originally introduced by Protect Colorado’s Future, this ballot initiative would allow for 97% of Coloradans who earn less than $500,000 annually to pay the same amount or less in taxes while increasing contributions of the 3% of Coloradans who earn more than $500,00 per year. Compared to our current flat tax system that gives top earners, the graduated income tax has the potential of raising $2 billion which can be invested to support our schools, childcare, health care, and for the brighter tomorrow we all deserve. If you have the opportunity to, I would encourage everyone to support getting this initiative on the ballot whether it is through signatures, donating, and volunteering.
