Papahānaumokuākea and the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands is more than ocean. It’s Puʻuhonua—a place of sanctuary—for Native Hawaiian people. A spiritually sacred space, not a commodity. That alone should put it immediately off-limits to commercial exploitation.
