We welcome everyone, because y'all means ALL here in America. Freedom, Liberty, and Justice for all.
Group photos from #ProtectTheParks action on Sunday 2 Nov 2025 at #Townsend entrance to #GSMNP We've never had people walk up and ask to join our group photo and just be so excited and supportive. What a beautiful day! Two of them were #newlyweds on their #honeymoon 🤩 @nashvilleresist.bsky.social
3 protesters joined us today all the way from Cocke County, along with their puppy Jack. One gentlemen is leaning against his car, holding the dog's leash. A woman is holding a sign and an American flag. Another woman is holding a tambourine, wearing a hat, and wearing bunny ears on top of the hat, her back is to the camera.
A line of protesters outside the Townsend entrance to GSMNP. The one in front is dressed in a giant yellow with red inflatable chicken suit. Fall leave colors are near peak with plenty of orange, red, and bare trees visible.
Another photo from the opposite end of the line of protesters. The one in front is holding a large banner with an older design of a parks sign, it says Protect Our Parks.
Protesters sitting by their vehicles, holding signs and American and pride flags. This group is inclusive of all Americans. Because all means y'all! This is our group who is unable to make the hike, but they are determined to be out here exercising first amendment rights to help protect our parks.
27 #Patriots joined us to say #ProtectTheParks today at the #Townsend entrance to #GSMNP, we even had some supportive tourists join us for our group photo with the sign! That was a first!! Always a good time. See y'all again in two weeks @thetnholler.bsky.social @nashvilleresist.bsky.social
Back on October 19th, there was another #ProtectTheParks action at the #Townsend entrance to #GSMNP. This #SRC founder loves joining these parks actions because they're so fun, and our parks are amazing! @maddow.msnbc.com @thetnholler.bsky.social @jerrigreen4tn.bsky.social @votegloriaj.bsky.social
We'll also tease you with how exciting our 21st Saturday of #FirstAmendment rights exercise will be! There will be a very special guest you won't want to miss & we will be back to our usual good vibes!! And who knows, we may just start planning some of our own #ProtectTheParks events eventually 🤔
When I started the Dragons and Crypids Park series, it was to encourage people to go explore our parks. Now it feels more like a stance to protect them. The bill is currently with the Senate, tell them that's our land and it's not for sale

Yellowstone is gorgeous, even in the “off” season. Hoping to revisit later in the year and explore the other half that wasn’t open this time around. If you live close to a national park, check it out! Annual passes are a great investment if you live near multiple! #yellowstone #protecttheparks
While the political landscape leaves you without words (for the wrong reasons) the natural ones are a joy for the heart #USA #protecttheparks #protectscience

A cartoon of a person with a braid in park uniform in a canoe. Title says rally and learn action plan 3/22
Yellow background with text reading: what are we doing? Action: Rally at your closest park! Saturday, March 22nd (check the link in our bio for more details) Plan: Learn about the issues facing your public lands! EDUCATE, ACTIVATE, AGITATE! Shout it out loud 🗣️ Save Public Lands / Save Parks! From Budget Cuts From Staffing Cuts From Drilling and Privatization Take a stand for public land! Protect DIVERSE HISTORY Protect FLORA AND FAUNA Protect PUBLIC LAND STEWARDS Louder for the people in the back: PUBLIC 👏 LAND 👏 IS 👏 NOT 👏 FOR 👏 SALE.
Green background with text reading what are we focused on? 🗣️ DOGE plans to terminate leases on dozens of NPS buildings: headquarters, museum spaces, visitor centers, and more. 👀 Interior Secretary Burgum and Energy Secretary Wright plan to review federal lands for resource extraction. This could mean LOGGING in forests, REMOVAL of federal protection, and DELETION of National Monuments. 😡 The attack on DEIA removed funding for staff, initiatives, and intern/volunteer opportunities. 🥶 The continuing hiring freeze means 1 in 4 NPS positions are vacant, with no plan to move forward. 🫠 We can’t forget the incoming Reduction In Force, which may decimate a further 20-30% of the NPS workforce.
Blue background with text reading protest etiquette/safety: PLAN AHEAD: What are your designated routes and meeting spots? Do you need/have a permit? PREPARE FOR THE WEATHER: Sunscreen, bug spray, umbrella… you get the point. MAINTAIN AWARENESS: Be prepared to converse with passers-by. Stay safe near roads and other hazards. PACK YOUR GO-BAG: Bring first aid supplies, water, and snacks. LEAVE NO TRACE: Pack it in, pack it out. Bring bags and encourage others to pick up trash. MOST IMPORTANTLY: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
YOU READY?! Rally and learn at a park near you: Saturday March 22!!

These photos was taken in August 2013. The day we saw first saw Denali. The day my daughter fell in love with National Parks and Camping. The day she decided she wanted to be a forest ranger. #SaveOurParks #ProtectTheParks #Resist
